Fierce Tips to Achieve and Maintain You Ideal Physique
Posted by Jessica Kiernan on 14th Sep 2014
I want to keep this brief and to the point. So let’s get right into my favorite fierce tips to achieve and also maintain your ideal physique.
1) Make a commitment.Choose to make a solid commitment to your health and your body. There are NO excuses to that are allowed to interfere with this. You are going to make the time to lift, yes..I said lift..Aka weight train..Remember weight training is important for building LEAN muscle that will burn all that fat and replace the fat! You will be left with a sexy sculpted body! Not BULKY. We as woman do not have enough testosterone to have that.Guys- this goes for you to. Make a commitment, set a time when you will go for a run, lift, whatever it is. You need to set it in stone and follow it and get into a routine! It’s a non- negotiable for you to go against this routine you are committing to.
2) No matter what we will ALWAYS have days where we absolutely don’t want to go to the gym or do our workout. SO you have to start training your brain to think otherwise. You must find a way to break that habit of giving in and just get up and go.Sometimes it’s just tough, but always remember 30 minutes of something is better than nothing! Do at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday!Keep telling yourself that and I bet you will see that those days you didn’t want to do anything and felt lazy...You ended up having the best workout ever! Trust me. Now if you’re sick..Then you need to be resting...that is another story all together.
3) When you’re working out and whether it be at the gym, or in your home or outside...Stay focused and keep to yourself...Unless you bring a friend of course to which they should be having the same mentality. No chit chatting...No small talk...Just get in get out. There is no need to mess up your committed time of working out to relaxing in the gym and letting your muscles rest for 3 minutes at a time. Keep your head down and your headphones on and get to it! No chatty Cathy’s. (hehe)
4) If you are like me and get bored easily then most importantly you must CHANGE IT UP! Mix up your routine and keep yourself guessing and your muscles and body fat will not plateau! You will remain on point, stronger, and feeling like it’s always fun and different. It keeps you on point and interested. Most common reasons people get discouraged is because of boredom, and plateauing. They don’t understand why the progress has stopped. So be sure to have fun with it all and do some different exercises, classes, reps ranges, rest periods, heavy/light days...etc.
5) If you want results you have to EAT! This whole “don’t eat and lose weight” hype is just that...”hype.” and B.S!!!! I would never see any results if I didn’t eat right! You should be figuring out what your body needs, how many calories to take in on workout days and how many on your non-workout days. You will have to learn to cook in bulk to keep on track…learn to like veggies like broccoli and a lot of it! And protein that is super lean! Everyone is different, so do some research and find out what is good for you. I always suggest 4-5 cups of broccoli or spinach for dinner and lean protein, and during the day I make green smoothies filled with protein to rebuild the muscles and repair, and veggies to trick my body and put it in fat burning mode! I have a list of good choices in my book “Fierce Abs your Jump Start Guide to Sculpt, Tighten & Tone Your Abs” Available on Amazon & Kindle or click here:

Remember this is a learning experience! Have fun with this and find ways to make it work for you and your family.Take it one day at a time and start with small goals for each day that make you feel good and get on track.I promise you will get there, and feel and look incredible. My goal is help you by changing the way you think about this stuff…we all need the help and that’s my job! Comment in on this article and ask me any questions you may have! I am here for you and ready to help you on your journey.
Stay Fit & Fierce,
